Olmesartan causes Celiac Symptoms

Just a heads up. The Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University has shown a possibleassociation between medication called Olmesartan and small bowel disease. They have found that the side effect is similar to Celiac symptoms. They stated if you are taking Olmesartan you should thick about talking to your physician. Olmesartan is used to treat high blood pressure in adults and children 6 years of age or older. This medication blocks the action of certain natural substances that tighten the blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
