Present Danger (Rocky Mountain Courage #1) by Elizabeth Goddard

ABOUT THE BOOK

Former FBI Special Agent Jack Tanner is working as a detective in Montana when he comes across a body in the national forest during a search and rescue mission. He's committed to finding the killer, even if it means working alongside his old flame, US Forest Service Special Agent Terra Connors.

When Terra discovers that the murder victim had ties to a powerful and dangerous trafficker of archaeological artifacts, the investigation takes a deadly turn--one that hits too close to home. As Terra fears she lacks the courage to face what comes next, Jack is more determined than ever to protect her. But he's failed her before. And if he fails this time, it will cost them far more than just their hearts.

MY BOOK REVIEW

Elizabeth Goddard opens up with a bang. You are taken right into the thriller when the plane crashes. The chapter releases more information about FBI Special Agent Jack Tanner and US Forest Service Special Agent Terra Connors who end up working together to find if there was anybody alive and a pilot who disappeared.

Throughout the book, there are flashbacks to Terra and Jack's early days together even though they split up in their early adult years they still showed some simmering romance together. They play off each other so well. This book is action-packed and never boring. It is non-stop. So many mysteries that just keeps building.  The book focuses on archeological artifacts being stolen and trafficking.
I could not put this book down, I had to read it in one sitting. This book had an amazing resolution. There were so many twists and turns and the pace was perfect.  I can't wait for next book in this series.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

A reader once told me that when she feels down, she picks up one of my books. She knows it will take her away from her troubles, at least for a while. That made me smile because I understand the need to ride on the winds of imagination. As a reader, I enjoy a novel that will whisk me away to another time and place.

Sometimes we simply need an escape from the stress of life and the tragedies happening around us in this fallen world. We need to be refreshed and inspired, lifted from everyday life.

I’ve often heard this response to my novels, which confirms what my ministry of words is about—telling stories set in unique locations and filled with adventure and suspense. Stories that infuse with a sense of hope and redemption. Stories that leave you with a spiritual nugget to take away.

Isn’t that what Jesus did when He told His parables?

Above all, my greatest hope is that my writing will not only entertain you, but draw your heart closer to Him.
