BOOK REVIEW "I Spy a Tiger" is such a cute fun book for children. The book explores some of the animals in creation. Clyde San Juan brought the beauty of faith and how Adam named the animals.  The illustrations are adorable and memorable. There are lots of interactive aspects of  "I Spy a Tiger" and there are questions back and forth on the pages. For example, the first 2-page spread of each 4-page section starts with questions like, "I went into a c

Remembering Joseph Chickadee by Nancy Youngdahl Children Book Book Review

ABOUT THE BOOK When wise and kind Joseph Chickadee passes away, other birds of the forest come together to remember him and celebrate all that he did as a leader and friend. Follow along in this story of love, loss, and grace as Joseph's family and friends say goodbye. Grade Level:  3 - 4 Hardcover:  38 pages Publisher:  Mascot Books Inc (July 2, 2019) Language:  English ISBN-10:  1643073885 ISBN-13:  978-1643073880 MY BOOK REVIEW "Remembering Joseph Chickadee" is a beautiful book that brings up the conversation about death. Using animals to tell the story about death is a lot nicer than just doing it with humans.  Nancy Youngdahl hit this topic in the ballpark. We learn when someone or something passes away they are missed. Each page is filled with beautiful oil painting illustrations.   It stresses how no one will forget him and how he was an inspiration. We see all of his friends dealing with grief. This is a sad but heartwarming story. ABOUT THE

Joy by Audrey Kai Yoon Children Book Book Review

ABOUT THE BOOK Joy by Audrey Kai Yoon - Audrey wrote Joy for her 6th grade English class assignment when she was 11 years old. She was inspired by a short film about a paper airplane she saw at summer camp. This is where the idea and image of the yellow balloon emerged. When asked if the story is about her dad, Audrey says no. It’s not about any one person. The story is about finding balance and paying attention to the opportunities for joy , opportunities that float right by us all the time. He ran away from memories because it brought him sadness. Money isn't the answer. Finding balance and paying attention to opportunities for Joy. The drawings are beautifully sketched with hints of colors especially on the yellow balloon. This is a great way to talk about depressi

One day, while exploring the bottom of the mystical ocean, Serena finds a dazzling, but mysterious crystal of two mer-people who look like they are in love! Join Serena on her adventure to learn more about the figures in this unexpected treasure. MY BOOK REVIEW Love to search for hidden treasures from Sunken ships. Found a mer-people dancing on the box. Serena takes it to her jeweler to make it into a necklace but is surprised what hse finds out about it. You will have to read the book because I don't want to give away the story. "Even though something may seem unimportant and to you, at first that doesn't mean its not important to someone else." Never assume something is unimportant and who knows you might wind up with a new treasure that can change your life too.  Beautiful pictures. Go
