Simone biles Breaks Down Tokyo 2021 Olympics

Image
Everyone was rooting for Simone. It wasn't really fair but the team put all the pressure on Simone. The team knew they could screw up and it would not matter because Simone's scores will be so high.  Jordyn Wieber  This reminds me of what happened to Jordyn Wieber in the 2012 London Olympics. The weight was all on her shoulder because she was so amazing and always nailing her routines. Everyone loved Jordan and so did I. She had so many perfect scores throughout 2011 and 2012. But when she got to the Olympics her nerves got to her. Not only did she have so many people, companies, USA gymnastics, coaches and so on putting pressure on her ; she also put pressure on herself too. This caused her to choke. Wieber, sadly didn't qualify for any of the individual all-around events. She did help the team win the gold medal. This is sort of what is happening to Simone right now.  However, Simone Biles did not do well at the Olympic trials both on day one and day two. She seamed off.

ABOUT THE BOOK Betty Sweet never expected to be a widow at 40. With so much life still in front of her, she tries to figure out what’s next. She couldn’t have imagined what God had in mind. When her estranged sister is committed to a sanitarium, Betty finds herself taking on the care of a 5-year-old nephew she never knew she had.  In the 1960s LaFontaine, Michigan, they make an odd pair. COVID 19 Hit Our Family

Image
COVID-19 has hit us. It didn't hit us health-wise, at least at this moment when I am writing this, but job-wise. My dad got laid off on Friday, April 24. This is not good. Why? because my mom doesn't work because she takes care of me. She is my caregiver.  We cannot live off my part-time job of $15 an hour 20 hours a week. There is no way.  Supposedly he is on temporary lay off from his work isn't kind.  They only think about themselves. They could have asked for him to go on a different shift. He has worked for the company for 37 years. He knows how to run 98% of the machines in the factory.  To top it off they aren't paying for their insurance now, so on April 24, they don't have health insurance now.  This scares me so much. How is this stay at home lockdown really helping people? People are losing their homes, health insurance, food, suicide, mental health, PTSD and the list goes on? How is this saving lives? My mom passed out in the middle of the night an

My Friend Tries Committing Suicide

Image
How do you help a friend who doesn't want to help themself? I am sad, scared and angry. THere is so many emotions I am going through at this moment.  On Wednesday her co-worker was getting into her space and he wouldn't stop. This triggered flashbacks to being a kid with her family member molesting her. Luckily she asked for help. We told her to get into her car, lock the door, call her boss and call 911. She got into the car and left work but she didn't report it. She wanted to make sure she is okay. She also is a cutter and she told us she is cutting herself. Finally, she came to us. We thought she was doing okay, but I guess we were wrong.  Last night she took a whole bottle of Zoloft. There were more than 70 pills in the bottle.  She was suppose to come over to my house and do a real thanksgiving dinner because she has never had a real thanksgiving dinner. Then we were going to put the tree up and watch some Christmas movies. Well this didn't happen.
