My five-year-old cat got spayed yesterday. The process was very interesting.  I was debating on saving money and taking her to C-Snip because they only charged $45 and I believe that included a microchip.  My regular vet charges $125 + $21 for the microchip.  I decided to take her to my vet because if they see anything else wrong they can take care of it right there. They also were going to check her teeth, trim her nails. I was under the assumption they were going to do blood work too, but that was an added charge.  Another reason why I decided to take her to my vet to have the surgery is because I was worried that people lied about having their cats checked for FeLv, shots and if they are getting strays in they might have respiratory infections. I wanted to try to prevent my baby from catching anything. I dropped her off at 8:30am. Signed paperwork and handed her off to the nurse. I called them around 12:00pm to see how she is doing. They said she hasn't had surgery yet and

                                  As many of you know, I lost my best friend Jakie Punkin to cancer in May of 2018 to cancer.   Ever since then I have been struggling emotionally and physically. I just can't get out of the depression. It has been pretty bad.  Two weeks ago, I think my Grandpa from Heaven, sent me this beautiful 4-week old kitten. It was crazy how we ended up getting her.   Three weeks ago, my friend's roommate's mother found a batch of kittens behind her shed.  A couple days later she noticed the kittens disappearing.  The mother cat never came back to get this kitten so the roommate's mother brought her inside and cleaned her up. She was plastered with fleas. The roommate's mother couldn't keep it because of her dog.  My friend picked up the kitten and was going to take care of it until we could find her a foster home. In the meantime, she was bottle feeding her every 2-3 hours. My friend broke down crying because she was so exhausted.
