Life After Heaven by Steven R. Musick Book Review

Image
Ever since I died and saw Heaven in 2007,  I have been drawn to other persons out of body experiences.  I was able to get my hands on Steven R. Musick's Steven R. Musick's book  Life After Heaven.  He had his out of body experience after being given the swine flu vaccination. He was allergic to something in the vaccination.  He goes right into the accident in the first couple of chapters. The rest of the book talks about him figuring out what God wants him to with his in life.  After reading his book I don't feel so alone. He fights the same feelings I do. These feelings are wanting to go back to Heaven and being with God. When I was in Heaven I had no pain, no worries, and was very happy. My life isn't as bad as some other people, but suffering from so much pain with  RSD, Celiac, Chrons, Gastroparesis, Heart problem, etc.. it is hard not to just give up. Luckily, Steven R. Musick, who suffered from lots of pain and sickness from the vaccination was later cured

Rescue Me by Susan May Warren

Image
--> I haven't been able to sleep lately due to the pain, so I have been doing a good amount of reading.  Rescue Me is the second book of the Montana series. I have read many suspense romance mystery stories and usually find myself skimming and skipping chapters because it just seems to drag. Susan May Warren’s Rescue Me was the complete opposite. I couldn’t put it down.   Every page had enough descriptions so you can see the locations and what the characters look like and are feeling, but not too much where it just gets boring to read.   Rescue Me has a lot going on. It contains relationships and spiritual struggles.   It’s all about forgiveness and taking chances. Love and faith can be a powerful thing, but also scary in the same breath. This book isn’t too preachy unlike a lot of faith type fictions. This book doesn’t just contain one romance couple, it contains two.   The main romance is between Willow and Sam.   The second relationship is Sam’s brother,

Newton & Polly by Jody Hedlund Book Review

Image
Books pass the time when I'm at the doctors' offices, so I thought I would put some book reviews on here.   I got my hands on Jody Hedlund's book Newton & Polly.  I was drawn to her book because of the cover and description.              This is a typical historical faith romance. A boy meets girl, but boy or girl has to fight to be together, usually because of re ligious views and financial class.   Newton & Polly reminds me a lot of West Side Story and even Romeo and Juliet .  John Newton, a sailor, who sails the sea just living life because he has to.  His father finds him jobs but he tends to screw them up. One day, Newton meets a beautiful dashing woman, but is faced with the reality of her being of wealthy class and he isn’t. She falls madly in love with him, but her father says, "no".  Newton won't take "no" for an answer.  Polly's father will do whatever he can to make sure Newton, the bad boy, will stay clear awa

General Mills Is Heaven!!

Image
I am a huge cereal eater. A box of cereal is always sitting next to my chair so I can snack on it while watching TV.  I love bringing a ziplock bag full of cereal to the movie theater because it is hard for me to eat popcorn plus, as you may know, movie theaters usually don't offer much of a gluten-free selection. One of the best cereal companies for being Gluten-Free is General Mills.  General Mills is working hard at making people who suffer from Celiac Disease and gluten allergies happy. During the fall season, they came out with Gluten-Free Pumpkin Spice Cheerios which had a great pumpkin flavor. I am dying to try the Very Berry Cheerios, but for some reason none of the stores near me sell it. Chex Corn and Rice were the first of General Mills to be gluten-free. My favorite Chex cereal is Vanilla and Chocolate. I use the Rice and Vanilla to make the Muddy Buddy Mix.  I still don't understand General Mills doesn't make their Muddy Buddy mix gluten-free.  It

2016 New Year Reflections!

Image
It is that time of the year when we have to say goodbye to the old year and welcome the new. 2016 has been a great year for me other than my health.  I usually have to deal with something going wrong with my health every year. Positive things that happened: Chosen to produce and help write our thesis film. This film one 3rd place at the Grand Rapids Comic-Con.  Graduated from College. It took me 9 years because of my health but I did it. I got my BFA in Film and Media. I not only graduated but graduated with honors. I received Outstanding Leadership and the Diamond Heart Award.  Got hired as the Production Coordinator for Micah Tyler's music video "Never Been A Moment " directed by Harold Cronk. You might know Harold Cronk who directed the " Gods Not Dead " movies.  Harold Cronk I didn't have to worry about finding an internship because I ended up with three. My first one was the music video. Second, I was hired to produce

The University of Chicago Celiac Disease Center is a premier research center for celiac disease in the United States and the world.  I received an article in my email about their a little bit of the research they are doing and what they are starting to find out. The more research we can get the more likely there could be a cure. RESEARCH IN PROGRESS... 1. Evidence that viral infections play a role in celiac disease. The prevalence of celiac disease continues to rise, suggesting that environmental factors must trigger and precipitate the disease. For a long time, it was suspected that viruses might play a role in celiac disease, and more generally in autoimmunity. Thanks to generous donations, we were able to initiate studies and obtain preliminary data that were critical for receiving NIH funding to study the role of intestinal viruses in celiac disease pathogenesis in collaboration with Drs. Terrence Dermody (University of Pittsburgh) and Ramnik Xavier (Massachusetts Gener

Tips on Preventing Gluten Contamination When Grilling

Image
A few days ago I posted a grilling DIY video, I created with my good friend Edward Jay Nelson. These recipes are gluten-free, but I had a reader ask me about grilling contamination. It is a huge misconception that gluten can be “killed” if it’s cooked at high temperatures. This isn’t true. Gluten, according celiaccentral.org, is a particle and not a bacteria so it cannot be destroyed with heat. The only way to really remove gluten is by really cleaning the racks on your grill. You can’t really do this: Phone Rings. You pick it up. It’s your best friend Susie who has invited you to their Fourth of July party. You: Hi, Susie. Susie (a.k.a. Friend): I am so excited you are coming to the party. We are  going to have grilled chicken, hot dogs. You: Do you grill any breaded stuff on your grill? Susie: Steve usually toasts the buns on the grill. You: You need to clean your grill racks completely. It needs to be bleached and really scrubbed.    Susie: What? You: Af

Anna's House Restaurant In Grand Rapids, Michigan has Huge GF Menu

Image
My weekend kind of starts on Thursday thats because I don't have classes on Thursday and Friday. This weekend I spent Thursday and Friday filming for Entertainment For All Network's Youtube channel, a.k.a. my channel. We filmed a gluten-free peanut butter brownie can't wait to get up for you guys because it tastes amazing and it was really easy. Anyways, on Thursday, we took a break for lunch and went Anna's House restaurant in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It has a fun environment. You step into the restaurant and you go back into the 1950s. They have a couple of TVs on the wall playing the old 1950s classic television shows like  Bewitch  and  I Dream of Jeanie.   There is a wall with a variety of old toasters hanging on the wall. I had a gluten-free Cranberry Turkey Panini sandwich with homemade potato chips. This was so good. It had thick turkey breast, swiss cheese, baby spinach, brown mustard and an amazing cranberry mayo that I ended up asking for extra on the
