According to the way they live she is full of sin.  Gabhart did her research. I learned things about the Shakers I never knew before. My Review on Waitress the Musical National Tour

Broadway Grand Rapids always brings some amazing musicals to Western Michigan. On Saturday, May 4, 2019, I saw the touring company of  Waitress the Musical .  A Tony Award Nominated musical with original music and lyrics by 7--Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles (known for "The Love Song" and "Brave).  Waitress the Musical  is based on the 2007 film starring Kurt Russell.  Book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson ("I am Sam") and directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus ("Pippin", "Finding Neverland").  It is a story about Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky abusive marriage. Pouring her heart into her pies, she crafts desserts that mirror her topsy-turvy life such as "The Key (Lime) to Happiness Pie"  and "Betrayed By My Eggs Pie". When a baking contest in a nearby county-- and satisfying encounter with someone new -- show Jenna a chance at a fres
