Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Getting A Divorce

Is this a rumor or is this real? I don't honestly know, but WOW, I can't believe Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are getting a divorce. 

They got married in December of 2018.  I was really rooting for them because they were such a cute couple. I could tell Liam was fully in love with her. Maybe they rushed into it to fast. 

It seems being a celebrity means always getting married and divorced. As a filmmaker, I know how difficult it can be having a relationship with someone because you will be gone for days. They both met each other on the set of The Last Song in June of 2009.  In March 2010, they made their red carpet debut at an Oscar event confirming they are dating. 

Their first breakup was in August 2010 because of their work schedules getting in the way. This is why you see a lot of celebrities relationships not lasting because it is really hard dating someone you don't see much of. Then you add paparazzi and magazines rumoring there is "cheating" going on. 

They got back together in September and then broke up again in November to take a time out according to E!. 

In April 2011, they are back together but taking it slow. Engagement rumors happened when people spotted Miley wearing a ring on the engagement finger during the Los Angeles premiere of The Hunger Games. Yep!! On June 2012, they announced their engagement.

Perez Hilton accuses her of cheating on Liam with Ed Westwick in February of 2013. They went to separate Oscar parties causing breakup rumors to circulate.  Miley was spotting not wearing her engagement ring in March of 2013 leading to the belief the wedding is off.  Billy Ray Cyrus told Nightline he didn't know if they are going to get married. He said, "They're young, they're kids. The great news is they're great friends." In August 2013, she attended the L.A. premiere of Paranoia with him, but sadly this was their last red carpet appearance together before officially breaking it off.

August 2013, Miley goes on the crazy side. Her twerking is started.  In September 2013, we see Liam making out with a Mexican actress and singer Eiza Gonzalez. Miley breaks down while performing "Wrecking Ball," a song believed to be about Liam.  In November of 2014, we see Miley wearing an engagement ring. A source confirms to People that Miley and Liam have engaged again. Miley and Liam are seen in public together for the first time since they got engaged again in April 2016.

In an interview with GQ, in May of 2016, Liam talks about his relationship with Miley. Noting their 2013 split and how difficult it was on him. "But at the time we were going in different directions and it's just what needed to happen. We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time -- we both needed that." 

Fans of Miley got scared when they didn't see her wearing the engagement ring in July of 2016, but in October, during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, Miley confirms that she and Liam are engaged.

90th Academy Awards

On December of 2018, Miley and Liam got married!! The couple spent Christmas Eve-Eve with friends and family, and not only does Miley wear a white dress... but there are also some pretty telling Mr. and Mrs. balloons. 

On Valentine (2018) day, Miley wishes him a happy Valentine's Day on Twitter. They made a rare red carpet appearance together at the 90th Academy Awards, first at Elton John's annual AIDS Foundation viewing party and later at the Vanity Fair after-party.

In May (2018), the couple was seen in Las Vegas to see Sir Elton John at Caesar's Palace.

Liam and Miley's home burnt down in the Malibu fires. All that remained was a sign that said, "LOVE." (November 2018). 

Liam told GQ Australia that he'd like to become a parent "one day." (May 4, 2019). On May 6, 2019, they were seen at the Met Gala. 

I was worried about them getting married because I still felt Miley isn't sure of herself. She doesn't know who and what she wants. To be honest, I feel Miley isn't a marriage type. She seems to still figure out what sex she wants.  I ran into an article from Elle on July 11, 2019, that she dislikes being called a "wife."  "Do people really think that I'm at home in a f**** apron cooking dinner? I'm in a hetero relationship, but I still am very sexually attracted to women, " She said. "I made a partner decision. This is the person I feel has my back the most. I definitely don't fit into a stereotypical wife role. I don't even like that word."


If you subscribe to both Liam and Miley's Instagram you would have seen all their fun photos and their relationship photos until a couple of days ago when everything was deleted on Miley's Instagram.

Breakup rumors were starting to hit around the end of July and early August.
On August 10, 2019, it became official. Her rep confirms to People that the two have parted ways.  Here's what the rep's statement said:

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

Liam and Miley still haven't said anything about the breakup explicitly on social media yet. They did make a cute couple. I was really hoping they would be together forever. Maybe they will get back together again. They are good at breaking up and getting back together over and over again. My love for both of them won't change.
