Isaac can’t deny his attraction to the man’s charming niece, but his brother has made his intentions to court the lovely guest clear. And Isaac knows his place.

When tragedy strikes, mysteries arise, and items go missing, Julia and Isaac find they are pulled together in a swirl of strange circumstances, but despite their own best efforts to bow to social expectations, their hearts aren’t so keen to surrender.

MY BOOK REVIEW

Sarah E. Ladd's book "The Theif Lanwyn Manor" is the first book in the series and it is a good one. We are taken to Cornwell England where we are introduced to Isaac, Julia and both of their families. Isaac works in the mining business. Him and his brother inhertied from their deased father. Julia Twetherway goes to Lanwyn Manor to help her cousin with a difficult pregnancy. She also is hiding from her rumors started about the man she thought would purpose to him but ended marring another. Isaac meets Isaac when she was held at gunpoint in the Village Inn and saved her. (aka prince charming lol) This is the start of seeing their relationship grow. There is constant danger, mysteries and romance. Ladd did a great job with her research. I learned a lot about mining in that time period and what people went through. "The Theif Lanwyn Manor" is a page turner, but it isn't a fast read because there is many conflicts, characters and detail of the history and location. This book reminds me of "Podlark" and "Jamestown". "The Theif Lanwyn Manor" is a mystery, romance, thriller, inspirational and historical.
